General Conditions

1. Programme and services

  • The object of the services provided are the programmes as described on the website of CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A.
  • Insofar as CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. provides a programme participant with services that do not form part of the services described for the programme, such as additional health insurance, travel cancellation insurance or transport services, then the contract conditions of the service provider apply.

2. Registration and acceptance

Please send the completed registration form to CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. . After the application has been reviewed, the participant is immediately sent written confirmation of acceptance by CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. The contract is signed based on the written confirmation.

3. Payment terms

Together with the registration confirmation, you receive the invoice for the programme you have booked. The price includes all course services described. Any additional services are specified in the invoice. The invoice is paid in the following instalments:
  • on receipt of the invoice and the confirmation of acceptance - 200 euros.
  • The rest of the programme fees are to be paid 15 days before the start of the programme.

4. Cancellation

  1. Participants can cancel the contract any time before undertaking their journey. The date the cancellation is received by CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. is decisive. The cancellation is to be sent by letter.
  2. On cancellation, CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. has a right to appropriate compensation. The compensation is calculated as follows:
    • up to 31 days before the start of the programme, 15% of the programme price
    • to 14 days before the start of the programme, 40% of the programme price
    • to 07 days before the start of the programme, 50% of the programme price
    • to 04 days before the start of the programme, 60% of the programme price
    • as from 3 days before the start of the programme, 85% of the programme price
  3. Failure to start the programme without any prior cancellation results in the loss of the complete programme price. Any costs saved are returned.
  4. With a change in booking up to 31 days before the start of the programme, we are entitled to an administration cost of 50 euros. Later changes in bookings are considered as cancellations and new bookings.

5. Cancellation by CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A.

Should a participant constantly prevent the programme from being carried out, in spite of a warning to the contrary, or should he or she be in gross violation of the contract, then CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. has the right to cancel without notice. CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. remains entitled to the programme price, with any costs saved being returned. Any additional costs arising from the behaviour and the subsequent cancellation are to be met by the participant.

6. The participant's duty to cooperate

Each participant undertakes to assist in order to redress any possible disturbance in the services that may arise. Should you believe the programme has any faults, please notify CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. immediately, so that this may be resolved.

7. Limitation of liability

  • CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. is liable for exercising due business diligence in order to carry out the programme, as well as for the diligent selection and supervision of service providers.

8. General rules

  • The prices, programme services and contract conditions specified on the website are valid for programmes during 2006.
  • No teaching takes place on national or local public holidays.
  • The jurisdiction for CENTRO HUMBOLDT, COMUNICACIÓN INTERCULTURAL, S.A. is Barcelona.

9. Insurance conditions

We require each participant booking an internship programme to take out a travel insurance package of 15 euros per week. For stays of longer than 8 weeks, the insurance premium per person per month is 55 euros. In addition we also require a travel cancellation insurance policy to be taken out, as from 19 euros. The cost of the travel cancellation insurance policy depends on the cost of the travel.

The CareMed travel cancellation insurance policy includes sickness, accident, liability, luggage and emergency travel  insurance. The travel insurance policy covers 1,500 euros for luggage insurance. The travel accident insurance covers 12,500 euros for death and 50,000 euros for invalidity. The travel liability insurance policy covers personal injury at 1,000,000 euros and injury to objects at 150,000 euros. The travel sickness insurance covers costs of illness or accident abroad for treatment due to medical reasons (including dental treatment for pain) at 100%, including 100% of the costs of repatriation for those falling ill or having an accident without any excess. The travel emergency insurance policy covers all travel costs for near relatives to the location of the sick person when the latter needs to be treated in situ.
