The European language certificates telc
Elementary Spanish certificate: telc Español A2
The TELC examination is supported by telc and held and assessed worldwide according to uniform standards. Centro Humboldt Barcelona is the first private language school in Spain to be authorised to hold these examinations.
Who is the examination for?
This examination is aimed at learners who have reached level A2
of the Council of Europe's Common Europe Framework and
wish to use Spanish in private and at work.
In order to pass the examination, learners should be able, for instance, to:
understand sentences and frequently use expressions
related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and
family information, shopping, local geography, employment)
communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct
exchange of information on familiar and routine matters
describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate
environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
What is level A2?
The Council of Europe's Common European
Framework (CEF) defines level A2 as that of the Basic
User who "understand sentences and frequently
use expressions related to areas of most immediate
relevance".

200 hours of Spanish.

Content of the Español Elemental exam:
The written test (lasting 80 minutes) is made up of 4 parts:
Test 1: Reading comprehension
Test 2: Grammar and vocabulary
Test 3: Listening comprehension
Test 4: Written expression
The oral test (lasting 10 minutes) consists of 3 parts:
Part 1: Exchanging personal information
Part 2: Exchanging opinions
Part 3: Reaching an agreement
