Spanish examinations: telc, DELE
Spanish examinations at a glance
telc, The European Language Certificates, are the language examinations
of the future. They represent a systematic, well thought-out approach to the
assessment of foreign languages skills and offer a clearly structured
programme of examinations based on the Common European Framework of Reference
for Languages published by the Council of Europe.
What does that mean? It means that all telc examinations assess and evaluate
your individual language skills in a meaningful way. And it also means that with
telc your language skills will be recognised by more and more people in more and
more countries. In other words: telc Certificates help you to demonstrate how
well you have mastered the language you are learning - because the examinations
are run under the same conditions and with the same assessment procedures no
matter where the telc examination was taken.
But what exactly does “telc” mean? These four letters stand for “The
European Language Certificates” and an approach to language testing that is
increasing in popularity. Each year around 150,000 European Language
Certificates are awarded to successful candidates who take telc examinations at
one of the many licensed language schools from all areas of education.
International recognition plus clear and meaningful descriptions of language
skills for candidates, employers and institutions in all countries – these are
good reasons for choosing telc examinations.
