Cross cultural training for multinational teams
Cross cultural training for international teams
Multinational team training
The dynamics in multinational teams are more complex than in mono-cultural teams due to the "culture factor". Cultural diversity does not only make itself felt at an individual level. For example, decision-making processes may vary, as well as the way of becoming involved in team processes, handling different points, carrying out planning, etc. This obviously has a significant effect on the overall success of the project and project goals. This is made worse by the fact that employees often come from different company areas, subsidiary firms or associated partners
whose notions of optimum cooperation often differ completely. Cross cultural team building becomes key at this decisive point.
The strong points and objectives of the team training courses are as follows:
- Identification with the project and a suitably optimised motivation
- SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
- Role and group dynamics
- Taking on responsibility and limits to authority
- Improvement in communication flows
- Reciprocal recommendations for action
- Strategies for handling differences
- Cultural synergies
Target group
Workers in international teams, expatriates and their colleagues.
Duration and group size
2 days minimum should be calculated for team training and the number of participants should not exceed 12.
In order to ensure the team continues to be guided and directed appropriately, we recommend carrying out team coaching after the team training course. With this you have a personal consultant (coach) at your side. There are regular feedback sessions in which experiences are analysed and thereby further insight gathered into successful outcomes.
Our experience has taught us that it is advisable to attend one of our "cultural awareness workshops" prior to specific cultural training.
