Intercultural skills for successful business communication
The methodology of our intercultural seminars
Our seminars are modular in structure, with the individual modules building up a "main thread". They provide a well-balanced, flexible combination of the three dimensions of intercultural skill: the cognitive and affective dimension as well as the communicative and behaviour-related dimension.
Different value systems are at work within cross cultural communication. The theoretical foundation provided can help you understand this and give you insight into key areas.
- Cultural dimensions
- Absolute vs. relative truth
- Direct vs. indirect communication
- Objectivity vs. subjectivity
By analysing case studies, critical incidents and role play, these situations are simulated and cultural differences are discussed. The case studies are based on real cases that have been noted during research by Centro Humboldt in
companies operating internationally.
