Cross cultural skills and intercultural communication
Intercultural skills for successful business communication
What are cross cultural skills?
Globalisation has not evened out cultural differences as much as expected. In fact, cultural differences continue to survive concealed under an apparent similarity, with a direct effect
on the communication process between people from different cultures.
Successful cross cultural communication requires an awareness of the perceptions, sensations, thoughts and behaviours of people in other countries. Cross cultural skills help to understand cultural differences and to use them productively and creatively, not simply ignoring or overcoming them.
Our cross cultural training programme:
We provide
- Knowledge of cross cultural theories, values and perceptions
- Insight into our own cultural values and norms through a process of self-reflection
- Specific knowledge for each foreign company culture
We train for
- Critical incidents via simulations, role play and case studies
